Watching the much antipated and much discussed Juanes concert from Havana on TV...
All the artists talk about "peace".."por la paz"...and so far not one of them has DARED to mention the word "freedom". How coward can they be? They must be so scared to say it...It would have been be so logical...There is no 'peace' without basic freedoms. And in Cuba there are no basic freedoms! 2 and 2 make four....in this case 2 and 2 make 8....
This is proof that it was very 'careful' concert. They did not want to ruffle the government feathers! So it was a coward concert. Dictatorships have that power over us.
And at the end, we must accept the fact that in Cuba there is no freedom, not even for Juanes, Miguel Bose, Aute --- and all those who performed.

It was really amazing that nobody mentioned ´paz y libertad´. Like they were instructed to mention the un-mentionable.

This could have been a great opportunity. A moment of truth. But it was another ´ode' to Cuba as its wonderful state of Nirvana where everybody lives happily and with dignity. One more lie about Cuba´s political reality.

No le pertenecia a Juanes gritar libertad en Cuba, entiendalo, eso nos pertenece a nosotros, a que ninguno de nosotros se atreve visitar Cuba y gritar libertad a toda voz en el malecon Habanero, va a que no!!
Si yo fuera Juanes y estuviera en Cuba con la atencion internacional puesta en mi y protegido por ello y por su fama de artista, SI hubiera sido mas claro y mas valiente, porque tenia al mundo entero con los ojos puestos en el.
Siendo cubana hubiera sido mucho mas peligroso hablar de libertad y no lo hubiera hecho porque iria de patitas a la carcel!...No hay duda que el gobierno los amedrento....y decidieron actuar como si en Cuba hubiera un regimen 'normal' ---sin levantar ruido ni hacer comentarios. Ni siquiera ahora que ya estan en tierras libres ninguno de ellos han exhortado al mundo a defender la libertad y los derechos humanos del pueblo cubano
